The books “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “Life on the Mississippi” are presented. “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” is a novel by Mark Twain published in 1876 about the adventures of a boy growing up in a fictional small American town in Missouri. The novel takes place before the events of the American Civil War. “Life on the Mississippi,” written in 1883, reproduces the actual facts of Twain’s biography.
