About the book: 1999 / Author: In my memoirs I will touch upon those issues that I dealt with due to my job responsibilities. During the period 1948–1962 I had to participate in design work, expeditions to test sites, and communicate with interesting people. By the way, in the publications that appeared after the declassification of the city of Arzamas-16, the activities of scientists and high-ranking managers were mainly described, but my goal was to show the work of ordinary engineers, designers, technicians and workers with whom I had to work on solving this or that problem, that the executors of the “atomic problem” were not only the leaders of this or that team, but first of all - ordinary engineers, technicians and specialist workers.
