About the book: 2024 / The first part of the story tells about the brave knight Henry Marshall. He is successful in life, but is on a spiritual quest. As a result of reflection, he comes to the conclusion that there is a lot of falsehood and deception in chivalry. Henry begins to talk openly about this, which leads to sad but logical consequences. The second part takes us to America in the 50s. Six-year-old boy Sam Miller falls ill with polio and not only loses the ability to move, but also the ability to breathe on his own. Instead, a huge iron “cocoon” breathes, in which Sam must remain almost continuously. Despite health problems, Sam finishes school, university and becomes a lawyer. He also falls in love, draws, writes books, jokes a lot and never loses heart.
