About the book: 2023 / This book is a historical novel in which, on an actual biographical basis, an attempt was made to describe the life of Grigory Karpovich Kotoshikhin, clerk of the Ambassadorial Prikaz during the times of Tsar Alekseevich Mikhailovich The quietest one, “stealed” and fled to Sweden, where he met his end. Kotoshikhin left behind a description of Russia in the 17th century, thanks to which historical science was replenished with interesting details about this time.
