  • MediaDB / «From childhood" David Samoilov, Andrey Nemzer: download fb2, read online

About the book: 2020 / The dates of birth of the poems that made up this book clearly indicate: thoughts about childhood and adolescence, the desire to resurrect one’s “initial time” and David Samoilov (1920–1990) never left to discover the spiritual meaning common to all. One of the greatest Russian poets of the 20th century remained faithful to this theme all his life - at once happy and tragic, which occupied a very special place in his world. Understanding this made it possible to do what was only secretly planned by the poet himself - to collect Samoilov’s lyrics, which came “from childhood,” under one cover. The title of the book not only formally repeats the name of the indisputable poetic masterpiece, but also preserves its meaning. The poem “From Childhood” equally speaks of the fact that the time of our discovery of life, of our own “I”, poetry always remains with us, and of its finitude. The preposition “from” means both belonging to childhood and going beyond its limits. Samoilov’s poems can help us preserve the aching, vital feeling of the closest connection between fathers and children (A. Nemzer).
