About the book: 2017 / This book is intended, on the basis of historical sources and materials, to give an objective assessment of the processes of economic development of Belarus over more than half a century - from the end of the Great Patriotic War to the present day. During this period, the foundations of socio-economic relations at the present stage were laid. It was during these years that the main sectors of the national economy of the Republic of Belarus were created or received a powerful impetus for development, trade and economic ties were established with various regions of the planet, and a specific model of industrial culture was formed at Belarusian enterprises. The declaration of Belarus as independent and the movement in this direction influenced the structure Belarusian economy, however, did not change its essence. Thanks to the restoration of economic ties, the establishment of cooperation and close cooperation with foreign partners, the former “assembly shop” of the Soviet Union as a whole was saved from deindustrialization and retained a natural orientation towards the markets of traditional partners, many of whom can only fantasize about the topic of “revival” and study the Belarusian experience.
