This book is about the terrible siege of Leningrad. About battles and everyday life at the front. Its core consisted of my grandfather’s memories: about the war and a little about peace, about his military path and the fate of his fellow soldiers. And around this core a study was built, entirely based on archival materials stored in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
