About the book: 2010 / This book is dedicated to several operations of the Second World War that are little known to the domestic reader. The first part of the presented work is related to the liberation of the Baltic republics of the USSR. Recently, the chosen topic has become the subject of political speculation for the ruling circles of the independent Baltic states, so the author focuses his attention precisely on the military component of the events taking place, touching on the national formations of the Red Army and the SS troops only in the context of military confrontation. Other chapters describe the landing operation in Normandy in the summer of 1944, and also introduce the reader to operations near Moscow and in the Balkans that took place in 1941 and in 1944-1945.
