MediaDB / «Rus' and the Mongols. Research on the history of North-Eastern Rus' of the 12th–14th centuries.” Yuri Krivosheev: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2015 / The book, dedicated to medieval Russian history, outlines the problems of Russian-Horde relations. How the “Batu Captivity” took place, and then the establishment of tributary relations (known as the Mongol-Tatar yoke), to what extent they determined the position of the Russian princes relative to the Tatar khans, and in general the internal state of Russian society of that period - these are the main questions of this book. Recognizing the dependent position of Rus' from the Horde, the author at the same time comes to the conclusion that the Russian lands remained until the end of the 14th century. building ancient Russian lands-states with their inherent socio-political institutions. The changes that took place were associated not so much with the influence of the Horde factor, but with the evolutionary transformations that took place in Russian society itself at that time.
