MediaDB / «A dream of reason or another reality” O. Wanderer: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2016 / A woman dreams that she is being chased through the deserted streets of a night city by a huge naked black man. She rushes into one alley, another, a third - and freezes in despair: a dead end. Being in such a “dead end” situation, she turns around and furiously shouts: “Well, what do you want from me?” To which the black man shrugs his shoulders in bewilderment and calmly replies: “I don’t know, ma’am, it’s your dream.” This, of course, is a joke. But dreams (as a physiological process) and our dreams are very serious. We spend a good third of our lives in a horizontal position with our eyes closed - we sleep. During this not so short period of our earthly existence, we are, as it were, erased from the lists of the living. And if we somehow let others know about ourselves, it is nothing more than snoring. However, the harmonious picture of the numbness of our body is disrupted by the brain - a capricious and unpredictable thing. I wish I could plunge into darkness and slowly relax until the alarm clock rings. Not so. Before you have time to bury your head in the pillow, pandemonium immediately begins under your skull. Here you will find erotica, nightmares, melodramas, and just outright nonsense. Our restless processor puts us into the most unimaginable situations several times a night and forces us to get out of them. Spielberg himself would be jealous of the sophistication of the proposed plots. The question is: how should we approach all this? Maybe I should wake up and forget everything? Or vice versa - with complete seriousness, picking up a dream book, each time immersing yourself in a scrupulous analysis of what you see? In a word, what to do with dreams?
