About the book: 2016 / This book is the second part of the series “Platon Kochet XXI century” of the epic novel “Plato Kochet”, which takes place in Ancient Egypt The Amarna period to present-day Moscow. In addition to this book, this series also includes parts “The New Century Began on Monday, 2001–2007,” “The Year of the Ox 2009–2010.” and the part “The Return of the Prodigal Son” already known to readers. This book continues the story about the life of the main character Platon Petrovich Kochet and his inner circle in our time in the 2008th leap year. In this part of the novel, written mainly on specific events and with characters, the story continues about the modern life of Russians, mainly Muscovites, the same questions and problems are raised as in the previous part of the epic novel, which were involuntarily influenced by the events of the past year. Some coincidences with the images of real people are accidental. And here the author, continuing one of the main ideas of the novel, retains his characteristic very intelligible form of presentation. Some readers have noticed that this text of the author carries a large energy charge and has a positive therapeutic effect when read slowly, thoughtfully. As always, the author captivates the reader trust, his inexhaustible optimism, humor, irony and kind sarcasm.
