About the book: 1963 / The published materials are the first attempt to bring together the work of Soviet researchers conducting excavations in different parts of the vast East Slavic world. Despite all the fragmentary nature of the materials and the instability of the dating of the monuments, they will certainly help Slavic archaeologists in elucidating the least studied period, the end of which was the creation of Kievan Rus. Combining the efforts of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian archaeologists will expand and deepen these works.
