  • MediaDB / «Chronicle of white terror in Russia. Repressions and lynchings (1917–1920)" Ilya Ratkovsky: download fb2, read online

About the book: 2016 / Poetizing and idealizing the White movement, many researchers noticeably underestimate the number of victims on the territory of anti-Bolshevik Russia and question the presence legislative foundations of this terror. They reduce the available data on mass executions to the lynching practice of individual representatives of the military authorities and the consequences of “front-line” terror. Historian I. S. Ratkovsky, relying on documentary sources (orders, instructions, telegrams), points to the direct responsibility of the leaders of the white movement for them not only in the front-line zone, but also deep in the rear. The Ataman reprisals in Siberia were quite consistent with the punitive practice of generals S.N. Rozanova, P.P. Ivanova-Rinova, V.I. Volkov, which was carried out with the knowledge of Admiral A.V. Kolchak.
