About the book: year / The book “1918 in Ukraine” is the fifth volume in a series dedicated to the White movement in Russia, and introduces the reader to the memories of participants in events and battles in Ukraine in the period late 1917-1918. The civil war was fought here in a complex ideological and nationalist confrontation. For the first time, the book presents in such completeness the testimonies of not only the leaders of the anti-communist struggle, but also its ordinary participants, allowing one to clearly imagine the situation and atmosphere of that time, the psychology and spiritual appearance of the first volunteers. With a few exceptions, the materials contained in the volume have never been published in Russia, and those published abroad are a bibliographic rarity. The volume is equipped with a preface and extensive comments containing several hundred biographical information published for the first time about the authors and heroes of the essays.
