Dionysius of Halicarnassus, who consistently sets out in books I-XI the prehistory and history of Ancient Rome from its foundation to the middle of the 5th century BC. e. Subsequent XII-XX books covering the events of the IV-III centuries BC. e., survived only in fragments. This work contains many interesting details of the ancient history of Rome, its laws, religion and customs.
