About the book: year / The history of writing this first book of mine began when Sadov was finishing “Overcoming,” which then still had the working title “The Choice of a Magician.” I didn’t like the epilogue, but neither the writer nor the forum members responded to the arguments presented. Then I decided to put my arguments into artistic form. Thus was born the first “Episode” of the continuation of this book by Sadov, followed by other episodes, at first scattered, but then increasingly merging into a coherent narrative. Many people liked the book, despite the gaps in the text and the large number of errors. This text is now posted on the Sadov forum and downloaded by eight hundred of its visitors. Now I am going to redo much of what I have written, removing errors, adding to the text and making adjustments in accordance with the text of the published book. Therefore, chapters will be posted as they are ready. Before the prologue, a brief summary of the first book is given. I, of course, recommend finding and reading “Overcoming,” but what I wrote will be enough so that readers won’t have many questions when reading the sequel. At one time, some people reproached me for writing “The Industrial Novel”; others cursed me for what they considered to be excessive politicization. So I ask you not to make these comments again. Some detail is necessary to give credibility to what is being presented, but it is impossible to live in peace and be completely free from politics.
