About the book: 2000 / This publication continues the publication of selected works by A. V. Mikhailov, begun by the publishing house "Languages ​​of Russian Culture" in 1997. The first book was compiled from works published during the author's lifetime; the texts of lifetime publications are reprinted in it without taking into account or even mentioning other sources. This publication reflects the further development of A. V. Mikhailov’s legacy, including its unpublished part, which became possible only with the interested participation of the scientist’s widow N. A. Mikhailova. More than a third of the texts are published for the first time. The article “Gogol in his literary era,” published in 1985, is published in the author’s first edition. Bearing in mind the immediate prospects for the publication of other works by A. V. Mikhailov, it can now be argued that a return to the original editions is completely justified.
