About the book: 2016 / "CRUK" is a historical novel in a sense, but completely about the recent, just past time - about the beginning of the millennium. In a Moscow club called “Kruk”, five young people and the old man Wolf meet - a legendary personality, St. Petersburg poet, teacher of Bitov, Dovlatov and Brodsky. This strange company practically does not part throughout the entire narrative. Their union does not last long, but during this time love, death, and separation happen within and around their close, suddenly emerged circle. “Kruk” becomes a microcosm for them - here the heroes live their whole lives, saying goodbye to the past and welcoming the beginning of a new century and a new destiny. The heroes break up, but understand that they will remain in each other forever.
