Subsequently, Sikorsky managed to once again confirm his title as a great aircraft designer, proving the viability and efficiency of the single-rotor helicopter design. These helicopters owe the lives of thousands of people saved during wars and disasters. Sikorsky's ideas are still used in aviation. Having received more than 80 different awards, Sikorsky considered his main thing to be the gratitude and appreciation of the people who used his ideas.
