About the book: 2009 / The next book in the “Silver Ash” series for the first time in such a volume introduces the reader to the literary heritage of Anatoly Sergeevich Shteiger (1907–1944), poet the younger generation of the first wave of emigration, a prominent representative of the “Parisian note”. This publication in its entirety includes three lifetime poetry collections by A. Steiger, poems from the posthumous book “2x2=4” (with the exception of those previously published), as well as those published only in periodicals publications Additionally included: the poet's prose, reviews of his collections, memoirs of contemporaries, correspondence with Z. Gippius, letters to Z. Shakhovskaya and selected pages of an epistolary novel with M. Tsvetaeva. Spelling and punctuation are mainly brought into line with the norms of the modern Russian language.
