Narovchatov, N. Glazkov - about those who matured and grew stronger or died heroically in the “fateful forties”. Many pages are dedicated to B. Pasternak, N. Zabolotsky, A. Akhmatova, A. Solzhenitsyn... “Memoirs” are organically continued by the pages of diaries, where many entries are characteristics of the century, destinies, characters, honed to the point of aphorism.
