About the book: 1982 / Ingrida Sokolova is a Latvian prose writer, critic, doctor of philological sciences, author of two dozen books, laureate of the Nikolai Ostrovsky Prize. Most of the stories in the collection “Different Years of Life” take the reader to the present day. Their problems are varied: they, in parallel with the present, return us to the past, to the war that follows the heroine throughout her life; the author peers into the fate of a modern woman, thinks about the family, the relationship between the older generation and youth.
