The collection includes Wang Meng’s new novel “Metamorphoses, or The Game of Folding Pictures,” published in March 1987, as well as stories written by him in recent years. At the end of the collection there are fragments from the writer’s first novel, created in the second half of the 50s and published only in 1979.
