About the book: 2020 / I wanted my “laws” of time travel (which became the “Theory of Temporal Relativity”) to seem as scientific as possible, so the first thing I did was I studied the works of Albert Einstein. For someone who was not a scientist, this was quite difficult. But his work gave me a lot of ideas. And not only ideas: while working on my “laws”, I tried to imitate his style as much as possible. I also based Professor Mensinger on Einstein. The “Theory of Temporal Relativity” was developed before work on the novel began, but it was not released until the third novel in the series, The Pimpernel Plot. In order for the books to be logical (I had a series of books in mind from the very beginning), there had to be certain mutually agreed upon restrictions on time travel, even if their "scientific" nature was actually made up. Interestingly, this turned out not to be the case. as pointless as I originally thought. Some modern physicists publish articles that contain thoughts that are in tune with my ideas, which I find both strange and ironic. One of my readers, a graduate student in physics, once asked me to find out where he could read more about Dr. Mensinger's work. I really didn’t want to admit to him that I had made him up..
