About the book: 1989 / Banned by censorship for production in October 1906. First shown on stage by the troupe of actor V. R. Gardin in a production by V. S. Meyerhold in the summer of 1907 (Teriok Theater in Finland). It was staged in theaters in Vienna and Berlin. After the revolution, in 1918–1922, it was staged everywhere (Ekaterinburg, Samara, Moscow, Novorossiysk, Kazan, Odessa, etc..)
