About the book: 1946 / During his literary career, R. E. Connell wrote several novels and more than 300 stories that were published in American and English magazines. A number of films have been produced based on stories and scripts by Connel. The first collection of his stories, entitled The Sin of Monsieur Petipon, was published in 1922. It is followed by “Monkeys and Angels”, “Miscellaneous”, “Crazy Lover”, “Mockery”, etc. Some of Richard Connell’s stories have been translated into Russian. “Napoleon’s Friend,” included in this collection, received the O. Henry Award, established in honor of the famous American short story writer and awarded annually for the best stories published in American magazines.[Annotation by the file editor]
