This work reveals inner sobriety, deepest humility, deep reverence for the personality and exploits of the holy Apostle Paul, as well as fidelity to the patristic Tradition, which characterize both the Bishop of Cyrus himself and his approach to the Holy Scriptures, which places him among the first and best interpreters of the Ancient Church and was noted in ancient times by St. Photius of Constantinople. Explaining this important part of the New Testament through the prism of the grammatical-historical, predominantly Antiochene tradition of biblical interpretation will help to better understand its meaning, both historical and theological, and, consequently, to penetrate even deeper and more consciously into the meaning of God’s verbs of Scripture.
