About the book: 1933 / The articles collected in this book should show how many different shades there are was present in Russian populism even in its heyday. At first glance, it may seem that these articles are devoted to completely different and historically unequal phenomena, that there is nothing in common between them. However, this is far from the case. All of these articles ultimately deal with the same topic - how various trends and movements of populism substantiated their belief in the possibility for Russia to escape capitalism and move directly to better and more just forms of social and economic order. In this regard, the book, despite the apparent randomness and fragmentation of the material included in it, has a deep internal unity.
