MediaDB / «Diary for Relaxation" Anna Kern: download fb2, read online
About the book: year / This "Diary" A.P. Kern kept in the summer, from June 23 to August 30, 1820, in Pskov, where E.F. Kern commanded the brigade. In parts, she sent the manuscript by mail to Lubny, to her aunt (her father’s cousin) Feodosia Petrovna Poltoratskaya, to whom the “Diary” is dedicated and in the form of an address to whom all the entries were made. Hence the numbering of individual parts (40 numbers). Later, all parts were bound into one notebook containing 76 sheets of writing on both sides. This notebook is now kept in the Manuscript Department of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the USSR Academy of Sciences, as part of the Markov-Vinogradsky Fund (27.257/CXCVb52). Kern kept her notes in French, but often interspersed the French text with Russian phrases and entire pages. “The Diary” was published in full in translation into Russian for the first time in the publication: Kern A.P. Memoirs. - M.: Academia, 1929. P. 73-241; then: A.P. Kern. Memoirs, diaries, correspondence.-M.: Khudozh. lit., 1974, in a new, expanded and corrected translation by A. L. Andres, from which it is reprinted. Everything written by A. P. Kern in Russian is italicized. Some of the extracts that were made by Kern on separate sheets have not been preserved.
