MediaDB / «My Game" by Bobby Orr: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1981 / Most of B. Orr's book is a kind of textbook. This can be seen even from the titles of the chapters: “Skating Training”, “Handling a Stick” (the author, by the way, emphasizes that he especially liked the Soviet hockey players’ ability to handle a stick: “They always dribble the puck as if it were tied to a hook, and do it without visual control"), "Throws", "Playing on offense", "Defense", "Coach's Corner". Not all of his statements can be unconditionally agreed with. For example, the author believes that perfection comes to a hockey player only through the game. The Soviet school of hockey achieved heights, improving not only in the game, but also in training, carefully thought out and organized. However, on the whole, the book is read with great interest. I hope it will benefit both hockey players and coaches.
