About the book: 1986 / The novel by the well-known South African writer Peter Abrahams "Path of Thunder" is a love story of a "colored" (as South African racists call people of mixed origin and Indians) Lenny Swartz and white Sari Villiers. Under the dominance of a racist regime, this love cannot but end and ends tragically. Both main characters die with weapons in their hands. Their death takes on the high meaning of a call for an active fight against racism. The novel opens as a typological edition of the best works of African literature.
