About the book: 2021 / Research on Russian modernism is inextricably linked with the name N. A. Bogomolov (1950–2020) is a major specialist in the literature of the Silver Age, poetry, textual criticism and Russian modernist journalism, who was one of the first in Russia to begin to seriously study this period. As A.V. Lavrov notes in the opening chapter of this book, “the works of N.A. Bogomolov, no matter how subtle and whimsical matters they touch upon, are distinguished by a language and style accessible not only to a professional philologist, but also to any culturally oriented and interested to the reader. The ability to write simply and convincingly about the complex and obscure is a characteristic feature of the great master revealed here, inherited from the classics of Russian literary criticism.” The collective monograph, prepared for the anniversary of N. A. Bogomolov, but published after his death, includes works that cover almost the entire range of interests of the researcher - from the first Russian decadents and symbolists to poetry of the 1960–1970s. Among the authors are Dmitry Bykov, Stefano Garzonio, Oleg Lekmanov, Gennady Obatnin, Roman Timenchik, Andrey Ustinov and others.
