About the book: 1984 / Vasily Ganibesov was able to feel himself for the first time in the writing field while serving in the Soviet Army. It was the army that made him a principled communist, and in the army he became a professional writer. Years of work in the Leningrad-Baltic branch of the literary association of writers of the Red Army and Navy, collaboration with the magazine "Zalp", military service itself, as well as a certain breath of the era of the pre-war decade left their mark on the writer's work, in particular, on his story "Squadron of Commissars", which was published in 1931 and entered Soviet literature as a living page in the history of the Soviet Army of the early 30s. Like other military writers, Vasily Petrovich Ganibesov tried to tell in his early stories and essays about the service of soldiers and commanders in peacetime, about their combat training, ideological growth, political hardening and active, active participation in the life of the country. As the secretary of the party cell, Vasily Ganibesov constantly took care of the ideological, political and creative growth of his comrades in writing: he considered it necessary to raise the theoretical training of all writers of the Red Army and Navy, to organize their professional studies, systematically conduct discussions, literary disputes, even create special courses for military writers and widely practice sabbatical leave for authors on military topics.
