    About the book: 1948 / Sergei Makovsky (1877–1962) - Russian poet of the Silver Age and the “first wave” of emigration, art critic and organizer of art exhibitions, publisher. Author of nine poetry books, eight of which were published in exile. About the last lifetime collection, “Another Page,” Yu. Ivask wrote that the poems in it “are akin to the poetry of the late Tyutchev... Makovsky accepts life soberly and wisely and with great gratitude.” The publisher of the modernist "Apollo", Makovsky in his own poems gravitated towards traditional models. The formal experiment of the "Silver Age" had little impact on Makovsky's poetry. In a certain sense, he is brought closer to the Acmeists by the desire for clarity.
