About the book: 2022 / Published in Berlin in 1932, the book, then unjustly forgotten, is one of the first attempts to present history and the future of the first wave of Russian emigration, also called “white”. Its author is Essad Bey, an enigmatic oriental writer who published in the 1920s and 1930s. there are many popular books throughout Europe. In reality it was Lev Abramovich Nussimbaum (1905–1942), who grew up in Baku and fled to Germany after the revolution. After Hitler came to power, he had to flee again: first to Austria, then to Italy, where he ended his earthly journey.
