About the book: 2007 / We present to your attention a brief history of the Church of the Mother of God of the Sign in Pereslavl Yamskaya Sloboda and the immediate environs, presented on the basis of information found in the archives of Moscow and the Moscow region. This publication, one of a series of booklets on the history of Moscow churches, was published with the aim of consecrating religious buildings and shrines of the city of Moscow and popularizing the history of interaction between church and state, as well as with the aim of reviving local history in different parts of Moscow.
