About the book: year / Planet Earth has changed. The atmosphere is unsuitable for breathing. There aren't many people left. They live in difficult conditions, and with nostalgia remember previous eras: the epic civilizations of Jidan, Pritak and Limpa, as well as the distant golden age that existed before all the disasters and wars. On the edge of the last ecumene, among red rocks and phrate fields, stands the high-tech village of Chartu. Its inhabitants are accustomed to defending themselves and their home with weapons in their hands: the Jilicon Somos corporation is attacking them from the north; and from the south they are threatened by troops of monstrous cyborgs. One day, an outcast scientist, Ivara Rumpa, comes to Sharta. Two teenage boys, Hinta Foita and Tavi Ruwarta, meet him and begin to become friends. He tells them about his difficult fate and opens up to them the mysterious world of his research. He believes that there is a way to improve the lot of all people and save the remnants of humanity from slow decline. But is he right, or are all his hopes just a barren fantasy of an unrecognized genius, exhausted by adversity and loss??
