About the book: 2018 / "The Trace of the Varangian Boat" is the second of six historical adventure novels about the events of the 7th–8th centuries AD. e, possibly occurring in the upper reaches of the Volga River. The Varangian squad takes tribute from the village and takes the sisters Kaya and Elvi with them. Residents of a neighboring village see this and try to save them. Taking advantage of the darkness, they kidnap a Varangian ship. It soon turns out that the second girl on the boat is not Elvi, but, very similar to her, the daughter of a Varangian jarl. This novel tells about the adventures that befell the participants in these events. It, like the previous one, was written on the basis of finds discovered in the area.
