About the book: 1978 / The action of Grigory Medynsky's story "Honor" unfolds in our time. In the center of the story is a Soviet schoolboy, ninth grader Anton Shelestov, who is involved by criminals in his gang. The author reveals the reasons that led Anton to moral decline - a dysfunctional family, insufficient attention from adults to him, the young man’s withdrawal from the school community, the influence of the street, a break with real friends, etc. Anton is a young man with a weak, unbalanced character. He makes an attempt to break with the pernicious environment that is sucking him in, but he lacks the willpower to do so. And now participation in the robbery brings him, along with other criminals, to the dock. Anton Shelestov’s further path is a return to honest work.
