About the book: 2005 / As a child they said: I swallowed the laugh. A well-fed baby smiles at everyone who bends over the cradle. Small children squeal joyfully as they run through puddles or blow bubbles. At school, the teacher drops chalk on the floor, the class shakes with laughter for ten minutes. With age, the laugh melts away, but in our youth we still adore practical jokes and cheerful tomfoolery. What remains from a laugh to maturity is called a sense of humor.
