About the book: year / Essentially, my argument is that a radical but achievable change in behavior from dependent consumers to responsible self-sufficient producers (some a relatively small minority of the global middle class) has a chance to stop the giant force of consumer capitalism that will force the world to change climate. It may be a small chance, but better than the current herculean efforts to force elites to use the right policy levers (whether sweet promises of profits from green technologies or, alternatively, threats from mass movements calling for reduced consumption).
