About the book: 2017 / The young scientist Yan Mednikov invented a fundamentally new type of nuclear weapon - an atomic bomb of enormous power with an ultra-low charge mass. A unique invention falls into the hands of Islamic extremists who are preparing a terrorist attack in Moscow. The intelligence services become aware of the militants' plans, but they fail to detain the terrorists - sensing danger, they go to the Caucasus mountains. Mednikov, deceived by them, is hiding with the militants. The operatives use all their resources to find out where and when the bomb could be used, and eventually learn about the location of the nuclear attack, but... just hours before the explosion.
