  • MediaDB / «Lunin attacks the Tirpitz" Konstantin Sergeev: download fb2, read online

About the book: 2005 / Abstract of the printed original: “During the years of perestroika and glasnost, some home-grown “historians” said that Lunin with his submarine “K- 21" did not attack and could not attack the German battleship Tirpitz. Others argued that if he attacked, then with his torpedoes planted on the side of the Tirpitz, Lunin disrupted the operation of the English fleet to lure this super-dreadnought into a trap. It is clear to whose mill they are grist. But the false historians and agents of influence have miscalculated. There are still living witnesses to this super attack, which was included in the textbooks of the submarine fleet. So, here is the whole truth about Lunin, his crew and the “Attack of the Century” from the commander of the warhead-5 guard boat “K-21” of the Northern Fleet of the Soviet Union, Konstantin Mikhailovich Sergeev.” This publication is also interesting because it appeared already at the end of the 90s. x years XX century in conditions when the author was free from any external censorship, which critics of the Soviet period like to mention, arguing that the materials published at that time cannot be considered reliable. However, a comparison of the materials presented in this book with the memoirs of other submariners, for example, I. A. Kolyshkin (http://lib.rus.ec/b/412850), or L. A. Vlasov (http://lib .rus.ec/b/59577), published during the period of socialism, shows the absence of any serious discrepancies in the description of events and assessments that would give reason to talk about a fundamental distortion of information in Soviet-era publications due to censorship restrictions and " dominance of ideology." Memoirs are always characterized by a certain subjectivism, which is both their advantage and disadvantage as a historical source, so one can welcome K. M. Sergeev’s desire to rely not only on his own memories, but also on documentary materials. The book is interesting not only for its description and documentary evidence of the famous attack of the battleship Tirpitz, but also for other episodes of the combat activity of the K-21 submarine, for example, the breakthrough into the Vogen base, a description of the daily life and service of Soviet submarine sailors during the Great Patriotic War .On the Internet there is another electronic version of this book, apparently an earlier edition, located at: http://militera.lib.ru/h/sergeev_km/01.html No special comparison of versions was carried out, however, some inconsistencies were found randomly , noted in the notes. We do not guarantee that we have found all the discrepancies, since we did not set ourselves the task of comparison. The e-book we offer contains page numbering in accordance with the printed edition. The page number is placed in square brackets at the end of the page and separated from the next page by a blank line. For ease of reading, a version without pagination can be used, which can be obtained here: http://lib.rus.ec/a/209667 Obvious errors in the printed text have been corrected without comments— V_E.
