The search for ancient legends and beliefs led the folklorist Andrei Beloretsky to a remote corner of Belarus - the Bolotnye Eli estate . Here in the old castle lives young Nadezhda - the last of the Yanovsky noble family. According to legend, once upon a time, Nadezhda’s ancestor Roman lured the legendary King Stakh into hunting and treacherously killed him. The dying Stakh prophesied a curse and eternal revenge of the “wild hunt” on the entire Yanovsky family. The appearing “ghosts” of horsemen keep the entire area in fear: the “wild hunt” can kill anyone... The last victim of the curse should be Nadezhda.
