Sashka, a young employee of the OGPU, experienced such mystical horror for the first time. Following a tip from the informant Ponomar, he and his partner went to an abandoned wine warehouse to pick up a speculator. And in the middle of the hall he found the corpse of a young man laid out in the shape of a star with a dagger sticking into his chest. But the creepiest thing was that the lifeless body was located strictly in the center of a triangle drawn with something very similar to blood. Wasting no time, the operative rushed to the informant to extract all the details from him: who the speculator was supposed to meet with, what give away the goods. They met in a quiet place, but before they even had time to exchange a few words, deafening gunfire rang out, and Ponomar, struck by a bullet, fell dead. And then Sashka realized: from that moment his life was in the hands of bloodthirsty and extremely fanatical murderers-Satanists.
