About the book: year / Lincoln Child is an American writer, author of thrillers, some of which were co-written with Douglas Preston. After a childhood interesting only to Lincoln himself, he graduated from Carleton College (huh?) in Norfield, Minnesota, majoring in English literature. Finding that words fascinated him and also tended to appear in so many books, he went to New York in the summer of 1979, intending to get a job in the publishing industry. He was lucky to get a position as assistant editor at St. Martin's Press."Douglas Preston is an American writer of thrillers, some of which were co-written with Lincoln Child. In the early 1990s, Preston and Child formed a team to write suspense novels; Relic was the first, followed by others including The Island (Riptide, 1998) and City of Gold (Thunderhead, 1999). Relic was filmed by Paramount in 1997. Other films are currently in production at Hollywood studios.
