About the book: 1979 / The book covers the life and work of the philosopher, playwright and public figure of the 18th century, who fought against Uniatism and Catholicism, for the reunification of Belarus with Russia , George Konissky. It examines the philosophical and ethical views of the thinker. The characterization of Konissky’s worldview is based on an analysis of original sources, in particular Konissky’s handwritten philosophical course (read by him in 1749–1751 at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy), first translated from Latin by the author of this book.
