About the book: 1982 / The book is dedicated to the stories of the Eastern Slavs at the beginning of the Middle Ages according to archaeological data. Based on material from burial mounds, settlements and other monuments, all aspects of the culture of the Eastern Slavs on the eve and during the formation of ancient Russian statehood, issues of the formation and settlement of their tribal groups, relationships with their neighbors - the Finno-Ugric, Baltic, Iranian and Turkic populations - are explored. The specific history of each of the tribal groups of the Eastern Slavs is considered.
