About the book: year / Stefan Grabiński (Stefan Grabiński) is a Polish writer, one of the founders of Polish fantastic literature, best known for stories in the horror genre. One of his most ardent admirers was Stanislaw Lem. Grabinsky's stories served as an example of a special type of fiction, which he himself proposed to call “psycho- or metafiction.” Unlike straightforward, traditional fiction, which was external, decorative in nature, this type took psychological, philosophical or metaphysical problems as its basis. In reality, the author was a magician who wanted to expose the hidden world and, if not explain the “dark sphere”, which is beyond the power of the human mind, then at least acknowledge its presence and treat it with “psychic” respect. This collection presents stories that were either not included in the only two-volume works of Grabinsky in Russian from the Enigma publishing house, or in another translation.
