About the book: 1985 / The book is a historical and cultural essay of the classical period of ancient philosophy, associated with the names of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. Two fundamentally different approaches to the problem of literary expression of philosophical thought, presented in the heritage of Plato, on the one hand, and Aristotle, on the other, are compared. The formation of the language of philosophy is considered against the background of the socio-economic and political structure of the Athenian polis of the late 5th - early 4th centuries. BC e., as well as in line with the historical and literary process of that era.
